Choosing Keywords for Your Real Estate Investing Website

keywordsSo let's say you have a website for your real estate investing business. And you know that when the right people -- people who could be your potential buyers, sellers, lenders, etc. -- when these folks  go searching in Google, Bing or Yahoo, you know that you want to be the one they find.

And of course the higher up on the search results you are, the more likely you'll be found. Get in the top 10 results (i.e. page one) and you're definitely doing something right.

But how's this done?

Well one key, foundational principle to making the SEO magic happen is choosing the right keywords for your website to focus on.

Not all keywords are created equal. Not by a long shot. If you change just one word in a phrase, the difference in potential folks searching for that "keyword phrase" can easily be in the thousands of eyeballs.


The fact is, most people click on one of the top five results they see, period. About 66% of people click the number one result in any given search. So your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find out what people are already searching for, so you can serve an audience that’s already looking. And once you know the exact words they're searching for, then you can focus your website on those specific words, and you're one giant leap closer to top search engine ranking.
