Hey guys, Sean Terry here, back again to touch on another important REI factor you’ve gotta consider.
In my previous lesson, Breaking Through When You Hit a Wall (or Two), we discussed how hitting walls will often test your determination as an investor.
But…
What do you do when it’s more than just a crossroad?
What do you do when you’ve hit rock bottom and you don’t see any light at the top?
How do you keep going when the voice inside your head is telling you it’s time to quit?
I can tell you because I’ve been there – and let me tell ya – it ain’t perty. In 2008, the market crashed and I almost lost everything I worked so freakin’ hard to achieve.
You’re going to want to quit at some point if you’re early on in the game. It happens to the best of us – it happens to all of us.
But, you can either quit or turn it into your defining moment – the point at which you learn the essence of your character. When it’s your turn, are you going to be a quitter or use it as a tool to define yourself? Hitting rock bottom sucks, but experiencing it can possibly make you a better investor. And this is why I’m going to share my story with you.
A Quick Rewind – Who’s Sean
So listen, I’ve been at the bottom and thankfully I’ve been successful, accumulating real estate transactions totaling around $120,000,000. I do it all: residential properties, raw land development and multifamily. These days, I like to do around 10 transactions per month, here in the States and worldwide.
But back to my sob story though…
Woe is me: You Can’t Have a Great Life Telling a Sucky Story
When I lost everything, I wallowed in self-pity and I was ready to give up. Then my wife said something to me that gave me a profound realization that turned my life around.
I asked the Mogul team to help me create a video so I can share with you guys some major lessons:
-
How to choose the words you tell yourself that can change your reality
-
How to make your lowest point a turning point
-
Ultimate will power – make the 90-day commitment
-
Why Donald Trump is a billionaire and you’re not
-
How to break through limitations (like attracts like)
-
How a wife that doesn’t put up with BS can make you a better investor
-
Changing your character will bring new ideas and the way you do business
-
Focus equal expansion and success - energy goes where attention goes
Good stuff, right? I know you guys are sitting on the edge of your seats, so without further ado…
Here’s my story:
