Hey Moguls, JP Moses here…
Putting yourself out there can be intimidating. For some, it’s damn near debilitating.
But remember this…
Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the ability to ACT in the face of fear. Courage changed the life of one brave young man… and the lives of everyone around him, for the better.
Today, I’m sharing with you a profound a video about Josh, who suffered constant bullying, and the surprising way he handled it.
Living in Empty Space
As you’ll see in this inspiring video lesson, for Josh, life seemed like a lonely, hollow shell – a place where others bullied him because they didn’t understand or didn’t take the time to understand the guy behind the sad face, the young man who simply missed his father so much.
Josh had his own story to tell, and so do each of us. And sometimes life gives us more than enough reasons to recoil, to shut down and to retreat into our safe spaces.
But it’s in those moments that we can find the strength to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. It’s okay to decide to walk away from negativity. It’s okay to want more for yourself, and it’s okay to demand more from others.
It’s in these profound moments of realization that life changes. You can change defeat into victory… and mediocrity to greatness simply by taking action in the face of fear. And that, my friends, is powerful stuff.
This is how lives are changed and dreams are made real. Each and every one of us has the ability to implement these life changes in our personal lives and in our professions as investors and as entrepreneurs.
Be sure you watch until the very end for the surprise, and then read what’s after the video below as I provide some additional thoughts to challenge you with.
Watch, learn and be moved and inspired…
Walking Through Open Doors
When’s the last time you held the door open for someone?
Josh changed his life and the lives of others by literally holding doors open for people.
Such a simple gesture suddenly opened the eyes, minds and hearts of those around him. That one decision to step out of his shell, to put himself out there awakened something that had been dormant inside of Josh. He tapped into a side of himself that no one – including himself – ever expected.
His actions changed how he felt about himself inside. To everyone around him, Josh was a new man who found inner peace, confidence and true joy in being kind to others.
And it changed everyone’s life for the better.
"I never thought doing something so simple could be so rewarding."
Change Starts with You
Most people think that change starts with belief in yourself, belief that you can be courageous.
But that’s only half the battle.
Most of the time, change begins at a turning point in your life that pushes you to your breaking point. And everyone’s got one. But you’ve got to reach that pinnacle life moment when you know with every fiber of your being – that going forward – things must change. Life must be different.
And only then, at that moment, will blind, raw action move you with faith toward something more… something better. As a result of the decision to act, belief then follows.
I challenge you to dig deep and to discover what intimidates you. What is paralyzing you right now? Why are you afraid to put yourself out there? Maybe it’s money, maybe it’s fear of letting your family down or of feeling like a failure if the deal falls through…
Whatever your reason, you’ve got to decide right now that it’s time for change. It’s time to choose courage even if you don’t feel courageous.
Don't let the world around you get away with deciding who you are or what you're capable of.
That privilege belongs to you and you alone.
I’m Listening
Were you able to face your fear, and change your life in a good way as a result? Tell us about in the comments section below.
Decide here and now that it’s time for change.
Don’t let life put you in a box. You are who YOU say you are.
Get in touch with your own fears and doubts then tackle them head on.
Find the courage to act even when you don’t feel courageous.
Kill them with kindness whenever you can. It feels good to do good, and little gestures go a long way.
