From Preston Ely, Mindset Advisor...
There is a reason why all my friends and I are the top wholesalers in the nation. Don’t worry, you’ll be included in this elite group very soon if you simply do what I tell you to do.
Do you want to know the reason?
Let me first tell you what it ISN’T:
-
It isn’t because we are top notch negotiators, although we’re competent in this area.
-
It isn’t because we bought a bunch of courses on wholesaling. Sure, they’re helpful, but none of my friends ever bought a single one. Not ever.
-
It isn’t because we were born into families who were active in real estate. One of the richest wholesalers I know (and I mean RICH) was raised in the projects and spent his 20s in federal prison for selling drugs. His book will hit Border’s shelves early next year.
-
It isn’t because of Carleton Sheets or Russ Whitney.
-
It isn’t because we eat Wheaties, take steroids, wear magical crystals, or are secretly robots from the future who have been pre-programmed for success (or are we…?)
Mind of the Millionaire Real Estate Investor –
is it in YOU?
Here is the simple fact of the matter…
My friends and I have been successful at everything we have ever done ever. If it were not real estate it would be something else. We would go straight to the top. I was the top salesman (or close to it) at my last J.O.B. for 10 years straight.
What does that tell you?
I don’t know what it’s telling you, but it’s telling me that learning the ins and outs of real estate are not the most important things.
Developing yourself into a winner is.
The battle for peak performance begins in your mind. But not the way most of the crap on the shelves would have you believe...
I don’t drive a 7 series BMW because of half hour sessions of visualization in my living room “imagining” myself driving it (sound familiar? THE SECRET!). I drive it because I went out and bought it before I could actually afford it, and that provided the motivation I needed to step up to the next level.
Now I can afford it. Sound ridiculous?
Fake it Till ya Make it
Folks, this is how I got here. Fake it till ya make it. Ever heard that before? Of course you have.
Some motivational speakers out there would have you believe that your mind doesn’t know the difference between an imagined thought and an actual experience. Give me a break. Are you serious? Sell me something else – please.
I had a goal when I was 26 or so to move into the most prestigious neighborhood in Tampa, FL. Realistically, this goal should not have been realized until I was 50. I ended up moving into the Cheval Golf and POLO gated community at age 28. Bought it creatively – lease option – with not one dime down and I still own it as a second home.
I couldn’t afford to live in that house.
But I did it anyway. Even got in a little financial trouble because of it actually. So was it unwise? Heck no. That one move brought me to a whole new level in life.
What kind of effect do you think it had on me driving past all those mansions and Benzes and PGA golf courses every day? More of an effect than if I had simply “visualized” it, I can tell you that much.
I began to associate myself with that level of society and lifestyle. And now it is my reality.

The Takeaway
So my advice to you (and admittedly this is only one piece of the puzzle) is start giving yourself some new life experiences. You’ve probably had a bunch of negative ones growing up as a child… You need new ones to overcome those.
Positive thinking is great, and you should do that as well. But to seriously speed up the process of greatness – simply start acting great.
Get out there and make it happen. Go buy a big house and then figure out how to pay for it afterward.
P.S. Watch this video. It’s a great reminder to never quit. Not ever. Unless you’re a smoker. Then it’s okay.
Holla at us
So, tell me what you think about the idea of acting great even you’re not yet… leave me a question or a note in the comments section below. Talk to me!
Go big or go home.
Fake it till a make it.
Act like you’re the $* and along the way, you’ll end up being the $*.
Never give up. Keep pushing. Take action. You’ll get there.
