Thought so… read on.
What is Cloze?
So, Cloze helps you organize and manage your business relationships by allowing you to store emails, notes, meetings, phone calls, social updates and more – in one application.
It’s pretty legit too, having been featured in FastCompany, TechCrunch, Entrepreneur Inc., Forbes and the Wall Street Journal. The idea of Cloze is to offer a platform for business professionals whose job requires them to maintain healthy relationships with clients.
Real estate investors can use it to stay in touch with:
-
Real estate agents who bring you deals
-
Potential home sellers
-
People on your buyer’s list
-
Renters
-
Contractors
-
Bird Dogs
-
Private money investors
-
Anyone else who can help your business
Think of Cloze as your personal assistant – it notifies you at the right moment and remembers what you do not. The app is aesthetically pleasing, easy to use and gets all your needed information organized in no time. And it’s available on iOS and Android.
To give you a quick overview about the app and what it does, check out this brief video:
How Cloze Works
When you sign up for Cloze, it will ask for your Gmail credentials in order to store all your email contacts. Then the app will ask for your social media accounts, such as Twitter or Facebook. Cloze will search those accounts to find additional information about your stored contacts. Unfortunately, Cloze cannot access your LinkedIn account since they limited their access to their API.
For you to sync your LinkedIn contacts to Cloze, you would have to export all your LinkedIn contacts and import them to Cloze. LinkedIn also does not export profile pictures so your contacts’ Facebook pictures would have to do.
And check this out…
When you connect your ATT Wireless account to Cloze, the app will track all of the phone calls you made or received on your smartphone and hook them up with the right contact. This feature is only available on paid accounts.
Even if you have thousands of contacts, the process only takes a few minutes. The app is smart too – it analyzes and ranks your contacts based on the strength of your relationship with each. The people you contact on a regular basis shows at the top of the list, while the ones you rarely contact will be at the very bottom.
More Cool Features
Cloze boasts a ton of features. Here are some:
-
When you select a contact, the app will present the entire history of interactions with that contact including emails exchanged, meetings attended, phone calls made and more. This is one of the most popular features of the app.
-
Cloze searches your emails for signatures and gets useful information such as phone numbers. The app then allows you to update the contact with the new phone number found.
-
Cloze lets you categorize your contacts and allows you to customize them – friends, business contacts, customers, investors, vendors, etc. And you can categorize each with a qualifier: potential, active or inactive. You can also set rules for each group – like setting reminders to get in touch with potential buyers or sellers once a month or with an active investor every quarter.
-
Another convenient feature of Cloze is that it allows you to send emails and make calls directly from the application. You can also save a summary of the conversation, record the call and attach the file to the contact.
-
Since Cloze can access your Google Calendar, the app can also monitor your meetings. Before the meeting, you can see the information of each participant. You are also able to reconfirm a meeting or set follow-ups after your meeting.
-
Cloze also has the ability to track when an email you sent is opened. The app can also track companies and projects.
-
At the beginning of each day, you will receive emails from Cloze about your to-dos for the day such as needed follow-ups, people you should reach out to, and more information about the emails you received and sent in the past week. Don’t worry about bothersome emails since you can decide whether you want to receive them daily, weekly or never.
-
With all the notifications you receive, it can be a little annoying. So, Cloze has a mute button where you can mute all unnecessary notifications.
What’s beautiful about Cloze is that acquiring this information will not require any effort since everything is automatically collected and categorized. The only manual effort will be assigning each contact to your customized category – and this step is even optional.
So long data entry!
