I had a great 4th of July a few weeks ago, and I’m still feeling the power of that special holiday. Specifically – our freedom.
Deep down in our core, one of our greatest desires is to be free. This is something that drove our founding fathers to take up arms and to fight for freedom, not only for them, but also for us.
That same desire that drove them to great things still exists in us today. We get offended if we feel that someone is taking away our freedoms, and we’re appalled to see someone taking the freedoms of another away.
Trampling on someone’s freedom is not right and we just don’t like it.
The freedoms that our founding fathers fought for have given all of us in the United States opportunities that few others in the world will ever get to experience. But I can’t help but be saddened at how we have lost our way.
