You want to succeed so badly you can taste it. You’ve invested time, money, energy… maybe even blood, sweat and tears into this business called real estate investing.
But for some dang reason, you just can’t pull the trigger. You get to the door, you open it, but you refuse to walk through. Maybe you simply can’t. Maybe the thought of walking through that open door is so terrifying that it’s debilitating.
Let me put on my counselor hat and get warm and fuzzy for a hot second (don’t get used to it). You’re not alone. Really, you’re not. So many investors are scared out of their minds to start flipping houses.
But fear is both your enemy and your ally.
Hey Moguls, Andrew Massaro here to explain why fear is so vital to your success.
Do it for Love
Okay, okay, so I’m going mushy on you again, but I gotta make my point. It’s been said that every idea, each move we make, comes from either love or fear. If you chose love, life should be good, right? I mean, you’ve gotta love what you do. Hopefully that goes without saying, if you don’t love the real estate investment business and house flipping, then what are you doing here?
If your answer is money, feel me theoretically and hypothetically slapping you upside the head, because you’re a fool. You simply won’t make it in this business without some genuine passion for what you do. So think again.
But I digress. Let’s get back to fear.
Fear Is a 4-Letter Word
You’re scared of making mistakes, of looking foolish, of disappointing loved ones. Maybe, just maybe, you even fear success. With success comes more responsibility, more expectations. And that can be scary, sure.
But don’t you see that fear is holding you back. It’s got its claws in you, and it keeps you in that deadly cycle of information-collecting. Fear leads to seminar after seminar. It tells you to buy more books about house flipping, and it convinces you that you’re simply not ready for that first flip.
So here’s what you’re going to do. You’re gonna put the books away, stay away from courses you don’t need, and start acting. Do something, anything. I’m begging you!
Get out there and figure out what you want to do. Then either do it or hire someone to help you do it. That’s what I did, and you can do it too. There is someone out there who can walk you through their blueprint of success. All you have to do is ask.
Turn Fear into Productivity
Fear sucks. No doubt about it. But I also say fear is a good thing.
Know why?
Because once you recognize your fear, you can turn it into a motivator. Take that fear and channel it into positive energy that will make you productive. Acting is the key, right?
Feel fear, then kick it where the sun don’t shine. Use it to drive you forward, and watch just how successful you can be…sans fear.
“You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. For remember, fear doesn’t exist anywhere except in the mind.”
~Dale Carnegie
Love what you do or don’t do it at all.
Feel fear but turn it into productivity.
Stop being a serial seminar-goer and put the books away.
Start acting – right now – and get started conquering that fear today!
