As real estate investors, your world is busy, busy, busy; you’re going 90 to nothing and everything you do that isn’t revenue producing is a necessary evil at best, right?
And one of the things that fits into that necessary evil category is paying bills, reviewing financial reports and all bookkeeping-related-suck-the-life-out-of-you stuff.
Some tools have helped, like online bill paying through your bank, but this one takes the cake – Paytrust.com really is on an entirely different level of awesome. It manages your bills, so you don’t have to.
I’ll be very clear: You need to integrate this system into your real estate investing business – it’ll save you time, keep you more organized, and in many ways it can replace the need for a bookkeeper, which you might only end up needing for a few smaller things since the heavy lifting will be done by PayTrust at a reasonable rate. Let me tell you why I LOVE it so much.

Or if you need to pay the bill, a whole new arsenal of cool options comes your way including changing the amount or date to be paid, and it also shows you details about the last payment for quick reference. So great!

Email Notifications – you can program it to send you one email a day with all the bills listed that you need to pay each day – hello organizational help!
Payment Details Record – this has all the info you need about the bill - when you paid, how much you paid, AND it even has a confirmation number.
Simple Set Up – sometimes payees are already in the PayTrust system and when you’re setting up vendors and bills to be paid, PayTrust will actually give you suggestions about how to set up that particular payee and can even populate information about the company like its address – another time saver.
View Reporting – this powerful feature gives you several options to create and customize reports by payee, expense category, date or amount.
But here, folks, is the Pièce de Résistance…
You can order a CD with all your bookkeeping info. At the end of a quarter, for example, PayTrust can send you (or your accountant) a CD detailing all the bills you’ve paid and all the related reporting from each month AND it’s broken down into categories that has clickable links with those scanned images of the bills, the total per vendor from each payment and how you paid them. This is the WOW factor, life-saving feature!
