Real estate investors are like the old-fashioned miners. They spend a lot of time looking in lots of places to find something they can turn into money.
And sometimes they strike gold.
Miners literally strike gold. Investors find a property at a big discount.
Even more rarely, a miner might find the mother lode. A mother lode in the real estate world might be a high-end property that the seller just wants gone. A high-end property will give you a much bigger spread than grandma’s cute 1950’s bungalow in a working-class neighborhood.
Not to dump on Grandma, but the equity just ain’t there.
For miners and investors, the ‘gold’ doesn’t help unless they can convert it to cash. Or barter it into something they can use. ‘Mother lodes can be even tougher...
The miner is going to need help to get such a large amount of gold out of the ground. Investors need help because there is a much smaller pool of potential buyers for the more expensive or luxury properties.
They need to cast a much larger net to attract as many buyers as possible.
Scour the World for Your Cash Buyers
Fortunately, there is a way to cast that much larger net.
And it can be as cheap as… free. There is a website called Mondinion that helps you find buyers worldwide. Judging by the number of properties listed on the site (as of this writing there are 372,896 properties listed in 200 countries), people are having success listing on the site.
Mondinion claims to be the #1 international site to bring buyers, agents and developers together.
When you pull up the homepage at Mondinion, there is a search function at the top asking for a location and what you are looking for.
You can put in a search as simple as ‘United States’ or be as specific as ‘Coral Gables, Florida.’
Then in the ‘What’ search box, you enter the type of property. It can be as simple as ‘house’ or ‘warehouse’ – all the way to something more exotic like ‘castle.’
You will see the listings that come up are not all straight out of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Many of the houses are smaller residential houses that might be in nicer neighborhoods around the U.S. (or around the world).
Don’t feel intimidated because there are some very fancy properties on the site. It is free to list, so all you risk is your time in putting up a listing. And as any seller of real estate knows, the more people who see your property, the more likely you are to finding a buyer.
Once you list your property on the site, Mondinion spreads the word about your listing to lots of other sites. Here are some examples:

Of course, you can also start off with a free account and upgrade later.
One really nice feature of Mondinion is that it has a list of potential buyers looking for properties from all over the world. When a buyer signs up at Mondinion, they enter their preferences of what they are searching for.
Mondinion also tracks the buyer’s searches and clicks on the site. From this information, Mondinion can automatically send the buyer targeted properties that it thinks the buyer might be interested in.
You can think of Mondinion as a worldwide wholesale buyer’s list.
If you really want to use Mondinion to its full extent, you can sign up for their ‘Email Campaign.’ For $1,200 they will promote you and your property(s) to more than 18,000 potential buyers worldwide.
The campaign may be an option if you have a very high-end property you want to move quickly.
If They Don’t Know About It, They Can’t Buy It
Promoting your properties on international websites like Mondinion, or just localized websites like Postlets and Craigslist is really important. The more the word spreads, the more your chances of finding someone interested – or of them finding you.
When you can find more than one person interested, then the price also can go up. Just like the miner who looks in lots of places before he finds gold, the real estate investor must spend some time ‘prospecting.’
