Your words have power beyond anything you could possibly imagine. Did you know that?
They bless, they curse, they build up, they tear down, and, most importantly – they create reality.
Understand and respect the power of words, and use it as a force for good in this world.
Preston Ely here, and that’s my point to you for today’s lesson…
The Power of Words
I remember one morning when a bunch of stuff was going wrong for me, and I felt myself slipping into a negative mode. Don’t you hate when that happens?
It’s tough to snap out of.
Well, luckily for me I was with a very intuitive friend of mine at breakfast who could see my energy shifting in the wrong direction. All of a sudden, he looked at me and exclaimed, “Man – today is going to be an AWESOME day for us.”
Now keep in mind, I’m no dummy. I am a student of life and of human nature. I knew what he was doing. He was trying to snap me out of my trance and speak a good day into existence for me by faith. That’s the kind of guy he is. And guess what…
It worked.
Although I knew what he was up to, I could not dodge the effect of those words. I felt a shift in my energy immediately. I know this because I was paying attention to myself. I always do. It’s a psychological term called “observing ego,” and you would be wise to start doing it.
Pay Attention to Yourself.
You do weird things for weird reasons. (That’s what I heard about you anyways.)
I watched a video on YouTube one time of an expert who has the ability to take losing dog race tickets up to the counter and cash them in as if they were winning tickets, pay for store items with blank pieces of paper, and have people on the street willingly give him all their expensive jewelry to keep… all with mere words alone.
I know a guy who can make you pass out in his arms within 30 seconds just by talking to you. Sound unbelievable? (Your world is too small my friend.) It’s time to wake up.
How is this possible?
They’re just words. Aren’t they?
The truth of the matter is your mouth is the equivalent of a magical wand in a fairy tale. And your words are the sparkly energy things that fly off the end of it.* When your sparkly words connect with someone’s ear holes (including your own)… things change.
Mice become elephants, and the weak become strong. Pumpkins become carriages, and your beat-up ride becomes a Mercedes.
Why?
Because you SAY so. THAT’S why.
It’s the power of suggestion.
We have been created in such a way that our natural response to a suggestion is to receive it into our consciousness and believe it. Everyone is looking around the world trying to find out just who in the heck they are.
Including yourself.
So tell them.
It takes more energy to analyze and refuse the suggestion than it does to simply receive it. Couple that with the reality of human laziness, and you have a recipe for all kinds of chaos by people who are skilled and trained to manipulate it for their own private whacked-out agendas.

Use Your Words for Good
Remember, understand and respect the power of words, and use it as a force for good in this world.
Speak blessings over people. Especially your family. You may actually start to like them as a result.
Find the one good thing in someone hateful and tell them how much you appreciate it. Watch them transform before your very eyes.
Look for the good in this world and talk about it. You’ll receive more of its goodness if you do.
Thank God in advance for blessing your real estate business and meeting all your needs. Do this out loud. Your needs will be met.
Talk about what you WANT – not what you DON’T want. You get what you talk about. Don’t even SPEAK about your bills. Speak only of the money that you know is coming in.
Remove the word “hate” from your vocabulary. It’s a yucky 4-letter word. You don’t “hate” ANYthing. You simply are “strongly disinclined to appreciating the intrinsic value of” such and such.
Tell people what you WANT them to do – not what you DON’T want them to do.
