Or Lack Thereof…
by Preston Ely, Lion
“As a man thinks within himself…so he is”
- King Solomon wisest and richest man in the history of the world (and he had a lot of hot chicks)
Whether you agree or not, here’s a fact: There is a direct correlation between how you see yourself and how others see you. And also between how you see yourself and what you’re able to accomplish.
This much, every self-help guru out there will tell you. But what they do not bother to tell you is why this is true...
(See that picture in the upper right-hand corner? That’s me in the morning … Literally.)
The Secret Baloney
Unlike what the best-selling book/dvd The Secret would have you believe, there is absolutely nothing magical about this whole positive thinking thing. Your thoughts do not carry physical energy which then transforms the actual molecules of the universe. That’s a bunch of New Age boloney sandwiches.
To those who espouse that theory I simply say, “prove it.”
I also say, “I have some land in Afghanistan to sell you. It’s a good deal; I swear.”
Here’s the simple truth behind the mystical mumbo jumbo:
-
Thinking certain thoughts causes you to change your awareness of the world around you,
-
and also to alter the way you behave in certain ways.
-
This then has a certain effect on others around you and your circumstances in general, for better or for worse.
I can picture checks in my mailbox all day long (which I do, because there are), but if that was all I did, I’d be broker than broke. Sure, I might feel all good and positive for a while, but no amount of imagining will physically attract money to me until I accompany it with focused, frenzied action.
See Thyself...
I say all this to you because my mission is to see you financially free. And to become financially free, others must perceive your value. This will never happen if you do not first see your own value.
Deep down at a core level, you simply must see yourself as highly valuable to the marketplace. You are. YOU ARE. (Yep, definitely shouting it at you.)
Then slap a ridiculously high price tag on that value, and go deliver it. Over-deliver it. Deliver it all over people.
You must believe that people need you, that the world is better off with you than without you, and that you are entirely worthy of people’s time, energy, money, and resources.
And you need to believe it because it is true.
Finding your true, special, and specific purpose in this world is the key to unlocking this level of belief in yourself that I’m talking about. If you were born to cure cancer then you will feel quite uneasy about yourself flipping houses.*
Inside You
Your success all begins in your mind…with how you see yourself. If you think people will need you, then they will need you. If you think that they won’t, then they won’t.
Your job is to become the sort of person that deserves and has the capacity for wealth in the first place.
Do this one very big thing and everything else is cake. Cupcakes even.
That's it for now. Talk to me with questions and feedback below.

*If this is you, please leave this website immediately and go cure cancer. I’m pretty sure we need that.
Develop a powerful self-perception. Start seeing yourself as highly valuable to the marketplace, then slap a ridiculously high price tag on that value, and go deliver it. This will be the new mental platform from which you choose to experience every moment of every day for the rest of your life.
Believe that you are inherently worthy of success. That people need you, and the world is better off with you than without you, and that you are entirely worthy of people’s time, energy, money, and resources.
Don’t read The Secret. Or if you do, do so with the awareness that the truths inside it are wrapped in a sickly-sweet mystical rainbow of crap.
