Hey Moguls, Preston Ely here starting this lesson off a great quote to really set the stage…
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
~Harold Whitman, Professor of History at Vanderbilt University and Member of House of Representatives
You may not know that I was a financial broker for 10 years. I think I actually enjoyed doing it for about 19 days. The rest were miserable.
Why did I stay?
I stayed for 2 reasons:
1. I was making six figures and used that fact to reason to myself that I should be happy.
Underlying Belief: Money is the point.
2. I had not yet discovered the concept of PURPOSE.
Underlying Belief: I’m here to have a good time.
The short of it is this…
You were born for a reason. You’re not here on accident.
You have special gifts, talents and abilities that this world needs. It’s your job to discover them and use them to their fullest.
And if you DON’T do this…
The world will suffer for it, and so will you. You will never be happy. Not ever.
It is our chief responsibility to seek out and discover our individual purposes in life. Neglect this and there will be hell to pay. For real.
“I just wish I knew what I was supposed to do.”
~Neo, The Matrix
Like our pal, Neo, from The Matrix, finding your purpose – your true purpose – may take some digging… into yourself. It’ll probably warrant some meditation and looking inward to uncover it for yourself.
Think of it as self-discovery.
Try this…
Ask yourself every day, “Self, what is it that you are supposed to be doing in life? Why are you here? What should I be doing?”
The answers will come. And those answers will guide you down your purposeful path. Try new things constantly until you find what clicks.
The masses are floating around through life 50% asleep and 49% hypnotized.
Don’t be one of them.
Wake up. We need you.
Need Me?

Understand that if you don’t know what your true purpose is and you don’t act on it, you may not reach true happiness.
Work to uncover your true purpose through meditation and self-discovery.
Ask yourself what it is that you’re supposed to be doing in life and why you are here.
Find your purpose.
Be happy.
